Gaze upon Him

That is spend time gazing upon Jesus and all that is around you.

Allow yourself to fall in love with the God who has given all

for your love, to be swept away by Him.

Gaze

Consider Him

Take time and see Him at work in the scriptures and mull over

His words and actions. Take them to heart, ponder His love and His ways.

Consider

Contemplate Him

We have looked and considered and now allow the eyes of your hearts to be opened.

So as to see all around you in truth, and to hear the cry of the poor,

the vulnerable and see the cry of the earth. Allow your heart to become one with them.

Contemplate
Imitate Him
Our contemplation leads to change and action, to become one with the other. To Imitate the one we love who gave His life for others.
Imitate
St Clare writes at the beginning of her 'Form of Life' that we are to 'Observe the Holy Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ, by living in Obedience, without property and in Chastity'. This is what we strive to do daily, so as to live a Gospel Way of Life.
So, you may ask, how does one live a Gospel way of life? We strive to follow the example of St Francis and St Clare, our founders. They strived to followed the example of Jesus, Who humbled Himself and became man. As Jesus sort only to do the will of His Heavenly Father and relied totally on His providence so we strive also to live our lives completely in the providece of our Heavenly Father.
Jesus was obedient unto death, death on a Cross. We seek to live a life of obedience. Not clinging to our own will, plans or desires, but living by the will, plans and desires of God. Jesus said 'the Son of Man has no where to lay his head' we aim to live as pilgrims in this life. Not storing up treasures for ourselves but being available to God and His plans to move us as He wills.
